Introducing Sri Bhaktisiddhanta Vaibhava by Caitanya Carana Dasa – Back To Godhead
Srila Prabhupada was different from Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, not in essence but in style of presentation. Prabhupada, although very regal and aristocratic in many ways, was also very accommodating; he made Krishna consciousness seem very easy and natural for everyone in any status of life.
Come up to the standard in every way, even linguistically. So, in the English language, like in most other languages, there are many more words than what most people use.
- Storm Flight.
- A First Love Never Dies (The Spi-Corp Series Book 1);
- Related Content.
Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura of course was very much on the intellectual plane. So, if those words are there, why should they be used only by deluded mundane intellectuals? After all, the inspiration to speak comes from Krsna. How is that a child learns to speak?

Alright, I just said the word cow and you pictured in your mind a cow. You have a general idea of what a cow is. So, there is a general go jati or the categories of cows. Now, how does that sound become identified with the concept of a cow not a specific cow, but cow ness. This is all discussed in Indian philosophy also: the general concept of cow ness. When I say the word cow, then you all understand what I mean. So, speech, language, is gift from Krsna. Why not use it in the service of Krsna?
Let people be educated also. Education means that throughout life we should go on becoming educated, we should go on learning throughout life. Why not? Why should devotees just be at some very bland mediocre level? No, the language of devotees should be better than that of materialistic intellectuals. So, let them see. You like to use big words? Hundreds and thousands! We should inundate the world with Krishna conscious literature.
Every day hundreds and thousands of books are being published, which is just increasing the stock of prajalpa mundane speech, gossip in the world. There should be a whole new literature just to replace all this useless literature. My own personal projects are too many for me to produce in this life; help is needed: writers, researchers, editors, etc.
Review: Sri Bhaktisiddhanta Vaibhava
So, a major project is to train some devotees to take up projects. To subscribe to his free cyber magazine, visit thespiritualscientist. I am not the enjoyer, but the object of enjoyment for Krsna. The extent to which individuals, religions and sampradayas recognized, acquiesced to and lived by it was in his estimation the litmus test of their genuineness, sincerity and advancement in bhakti.
As homogenization of the seer, the seen and the seeing was impossible, the goal of Mayavadis was even more illusory than their conception of the hypothetically illusory world they attempted to escape, and that the much touted Mayavada was thus an elaborate logical fallacy while purporting to explain the meaning of existence, it is ultimately meaningless, and thus a stupendous hoax and a crime against God and humanity. Here we present an interview with His Holiness Bhakti Vikasa Swami Maharaja: 1 Maharaja, this book is a magnum opus spanning three large volumes.

Sankirtan Prabhu has been involved in teaching the Bhakti Sastri course for many ears but his main activity has been his involvement in preaching in China for more than twenty years now and has been actively involved there from the early days, assisting H. Tamal Krishna Maharaj. He is a disciple of H.
Lokanath Maharaj. During his stay here in Salem, while conducting the course he began to read Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Vaibhava, in his free time and was so inspired by it that he would include sections of it in his lectures, examples and analogies and sometimes would stop the class and just speak about what part he was reading. Which was enlightening and inspiring for all of us, and particularly so for 2 or 3 of the devotees in the class who were also reading the book.
Below are some comments I noted down which he made about the book, in chronological order.
Sri Bhaktisiddhanta Vaibhava (Electronic book text)
His permission was taken for posting this ; - While discussing Bhagavad-gita, He said that it doesn't necessarily mean just narrating pastimes of Krsna. He then said that he was reading Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Vaibhava and the whole book glorifies the absolute truth without narrating Krsna lila. So one could say a lot about the absolute truth Krsna without necessarily speaking about lilas. And he also said at that point that if someone was not so 'fixed', then this book 'fixes you' in the philosophy and practice of Krsna Consciousness by making you more convinced , "without a doubt".
And also while discussing so much philosophy it wasn't boring to read. Srila Prabhupada had set up BTG in such a way that only a small percentage comes from direct writings and transcribed recordings of Srila Prabhupada while most of it should come from writings from his followers. In that regard he began to speak about how in part 3 of the publication SBV there was a whole section on what a Guru is, what he is supposed to do and a whole explanation of Caste Goswami's and how they conduct their 'racket' in society.
He said he had never read about it in such detail anywhere and was surprised about the scale of their involvement in society as well as the details about how they operate..

And he mentioned. And then he commented that in order to totally eliminate the sex desire one has to detest any sort of activity which is even subtly gives enjoyment like for example moving your body here and there for no reason as in sporting activities and for that this Drg Drs vicara of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur is very instructive. Of course, there is much more to mention but I just wrote a few of the major points.
In the Bhakti Sastri course all matter is strictly limited to the four books used and also some of Srila Prabhupada's quotes. However it seems that the H. We even did some discussions in groups on certain issues mentioned in the book to try to understands certain aspects of our philosophy like; The Spiritual Master. Thus Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Vaibhava had a big impact on our Bhakti Sastri course and the learning and solidifying aspects of our Gaudiya Vaisnava philosophy. The distribution and study of this publication should be encouraged among the devotees especially for the purposes of clearly understanding our philosophy and how it is the highest.
